Fund CHIP Now
CHIP is a model program that provides health coverage to children in need. In 2016 alone, CHIP covered over 8.9 million children. 1
States have expanded children's coverage significantly through their CHIP programs. Over $25.5 billion has been allocated to help insure low-income children who are ineligible for Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance. 2
In some cases, CHIP is the only way for children to receive health insurance. CHIP has reduced the number of uninsured children by 67.9%, even during the economic crisis that began in 2008. 3

Unless Congress acts soon, states will be forced to curtail enrollment and health services for children.
